Shane’s practice as an artist began from a young age, learning traditional painting from his mother before expanding into graffiti, street art, and tattooing. These influences have shaped a distinctive contemporary style that bridges traditional stories with modern expression. His works span murals, canvas, and design, with major commissions including JD Sports, Bellroy, Indigenous Round guernseys for the AFL and SANFL, murals for the Adelaide Central Market and Loretto College, and collaborations with national sporting clubs and festivals.

Shane’s creative practice celebrates connection to Country, identity, and the power of art to bring people together. Through flowing linework and layered symbolism, his work explores themes of movement, water, wind and connection — aligning naturally with the Dunes and River narratives.

Since high school, Shane has been an advocate for personal growth and community wellbeing, practicing culture through art and dance, and facilitating workshops in schools, youth justice systems, and community programs across Australia. His passion has led to opportunities such as graduating from the Indigenous Marathon Project (finishing the New York Marathon), leading community art projects in Kenya, and engaging communities nationally and internationally through cultural exchange.

In addition to his art practice, Shane brings extensive experience in leadership, consultation, and mentoring. He continues to support emerging Aboriginal artists, sharing skills in large-scale mural making, cultural storytelling, and professional development.
